Mission Statement

Our mission is to transform and end homelessness in the South Bay
through education, advocacy and coordination.

  • Identify service gaps and highlight programs that work.
  • Advocate for the development of additional service and fiscal resources.
  • Strengthen communication and collaboration among key South Bay stakeholders.
  • Identify and provide training and educational opportunities.

We actively engage in activities that offer not only compassion,
but also provide solidarity, empowerment and lasting solutions.

  • Provide leadership in the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, which collects vital statistics identifying where those who are homeless reside and the specific reasons for their homelessness.
  • Create regional and individualized city information sheets on what homelessness looks like based on the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count.
  • Create resource referral cards that both organizations and those experiencing homelessness can use to make appropriate connections.
  • Track funding sources to build capacity and provide leadership in coordinating agencies to effectively respond to fiscal opportunities.
  • Work with local stakeholders to understand homelessness and proven solutions.

We represent those in Los Angeles County’s Service Planning Area (SPA) 8.

  • Our membership includes key organizations from a range of government sectors, local service providers, and faith and community partners.
  • From our community-based origins in the late 1980's, we continue to value grassroots support and the power of collaborative solutions that unite and focus our membership on the complex problem of homelessness
