Homeless Count 2022 Results
Under the leadership of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) and the South Bay Coalition to End Homelessness, the entire region consisting of over 4,000 road miles was canvassed with the help of over 550 volunteers. This is the seventh time 100% of SPA 8 were covered, providing exceptionally detailed trend views of homelessness throughout the South Bay.
We wish to thank LAHSA, South Bay municipalities, local law enforcement, Coordinated Entry System outreach teams (including LAHSA's HET), City of Los Angeles neighborhood councils, hospitals, faith community, and community volunteers for making the 2022Count a success. |
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count was pushed back one month from the traditional end of January to February 23, 2022. That night, 4479 people were identified as experiencing homelessness in the SPA 8/South Bay (this does not include the City of Long Beach).
